07/04/06 - So I'm back again, after my fourth trip to Port Dickson and staying round the house of my twelth family, and there's certainly a long story behind this latest one. It's usually difficult to work out a family tree when you suddenly get other relatives appearing. But I think the aunty (Unbun) has three daughters, Ahja is married to a guy called Mahn, they have two kids, Nurhaja and Melissa; there's Ahja's sister, who apparently has a daughter (don't know where she was though); then there was this other woman looking for a replacement father for her two half-Korean kids...

I can't say this was my favourite family. Though I didn't mind Chan in Cambodia going on about me marrying his sister, atleast he didn't tell me to just go 'play' with her. This family is certainly a contrast against other Muslims I have known. Unbun was a nice, traditional lady, and the two Korean kids were very respectful to me, though I'm concerned about the development of the younger two. I noticed they seem to make groaning noises alot, which I'm sure wasn't some kind of premature Malay speaking. I think what was most alarming was Mahn dressing like a chav...

But apart from them, all else was fine. It was nice to see Mazlan again, and so wonderful getting to see Hidaya. I was quite shocked to find she stayed in a middle class home, despite staying with her cousin Linda one night. I'll definetly be revisiting Port Dickson again when I come back to Malaysia, especially if Nyapon will give me free food and drinks...

14/04/06 - A pretty boring and uneventful week this week, mainly because the little kids in Laksamana have all gone on holiday. Though Komathi and Vinod were at church, I'm not sure why Durga wasn't there. I don't think she'll be on holiday as she's sibling to those two and she goes to school... Sunday School (on the Friday, today) seemed to be the only eventful thing, though not exactly a positive outcome.

My tolerance for Raveena has finally come to an end, her lack of verbal control finally gets her kicked out of Sunday School. I don't care (as much) if the kids disobey me or beat me or whatever, but disrespect me, and disrespect me in the way she did (by basically encouraging the other kids to do the same) gets minus points from me. I did notice a change in some of the kids after that lesson, but next week I can see how they fair without her; and they'll probably end up doing a lot better for themselves...

And one last note with this site, The Sims 2: Big Brother 4 has now started up and is taking in applicants for the series. It's going to be a chaotic time getting this show organised when I get back. I don't even own Nightlife, Open For Business, the Christmas Pack (which I'm hoping I can still get) or this Family Fun Stuff expansion. And I haven't even played the game for seven months, so if there are some things that aren't up to stratch, then that's my excuse...

21/04/06 - My poor Durga! Not only does she have poltdactyly (twelve fingers/toes), but she also has a hole in her heart, which I find suprising to come from a girl with such a wonderful heart as hers. I have high respect for Durga and the family in Laksamana, and Durga has always given respect to me. She wanted a cuddle from me after only my second week teaching at Taman Wahyu, and on Sunday, after seeing her for the first time in three weeks, she even said 'I love you' to me (in English). I love you too, Durgi! But though she has heart surgery lined up, there may not be any on her sixth fingers/toes. Apparently her mother wants them to stay there as they bring her luck. Not sure if a hole in the heart is that lucky, but she's a wonderful girl...

Sunday School certainly went better this week, thanks to there being no Raveena. So the root cause of trouble has been taken out, now it's just a case of dealing with anyone else who wants to disobey... I think I missed the chance on an interesting gender psychological experiment. I honestly thought Rajita was a boy at first, and treated her like one in the way I played with her, which is usually wrestling with boys. But Dharsini I is the strangest of all, such a tomboy... Oh, and I have an 'obsessed fan', wonderful!

28/04/06 - With just three weeks left in Malaysia, I really feel I should be trying to make better use of my time. Yet another uneventful week, either spending my time at home being a punch bag to Eman, going to Laksamana on the odd occasion, or wasting my time at CPKL, where the 'noobs' (New Gappers) have appeared to have taken over... I should just try and make the most of my last days and spend it with people I love and make the most of it, considering I won't get the see them for atleast four months whilst I'm back in the UK. The summer's going to be pretty lonely for me, but as long as I can get back there before mid-November, then I can be there for the kids over the long holidays they have at the end of the year...
