01/06/07 - Exactly three months have passed since I return from my second trip to Asia... I really need to stop counting my time in the UK, just a shame I don't know where to officially countdown from in regards to going back. I went to London twice this past weekend, firstly on Saturday with my brother to see the third Pirates of the Caribbean movie, then my Appa took me to Palmers Green on Sunday. The Pirates movie was OK, though I prefer watching a movie at home than at the cinema. I think they place too many jokes in too many random places in the film, they try to have a serious bit, then they do something stupid with the monkey... My Appa (Father) joined for coffee at the end of the Palmers Green service, though he only hung around for a short time. Sunday School is going OK at PG, it's just hard for me being in a class where the children are so much more talented than me. Surudi (who just turned five) sang alone in front of the church on Sunday, all the kids are bilingual, and I struggled to explain the Pentecoste to the class, in the one part where the teacher let me try and lead something. It's nothing like Taman Wahyu at this church, I may as well just be one of the students. But then I never went to Sunday School and went straight into listening to adult sermons, so that's my excuse for my lack of decent Christian knowledge... 08/06/07 - I'm expecting most readers this week will be from viewers of The Sims 2: Big Brother 6, so I will stay entirely on-topic on the situation that has just occured. I'd like to apologise for the shortening in series length and reports content for this series of The Sims: Big Brother, but this is the result of an experiment gone tragically wrong. I had been intriged by the number of 'Virtual Big Brother' forums on the internet, and being a 'Sim Brother' creator with a growing reputation, I thought it was about time I put my theme from allowing others to create the housemates in my series, to allowing others to be the housemates in my series. I've had brief moments in some of these VBBs, looked at their mistakes, and from there began to plot how I was going to carry out an entire series of my own, and how to one up other series by presenting it in my usual fashion like I've done with previous series. But although producing the shows content reports isn't such a set back, I was somewhat overwhelmed by the amount of posts my new 'mini-community' was producing on Forum 24. And not only was I under pressure in keeping up with their conversations to use as report content, but I was being hounded by the 'housemates' that they were bored, and quite rightly so. I had asked people to spend some time in my network, with the promise of twists and tasks to go with it, but I failed to deliver affectively. And so my experiment of trying to juggle a hungry forum community, a Sim show and a job has become a little too much for me, but being the committed person I am, I'll still finish off the series in the best possible quality I can deliver. It's just a shame things had to go so sour. I created an incredibly well formatted forum for the series, and put in some good initiatives that other VBB creators could use and learn from, but it was the content and the running of the forum itself I hadn't properly prepared for. So all I can ask is that people stick with me for the rest of this series, even if it has been dramatically cut short. I will do all I can to make it up to those who are a fan of my work, it's just a shame such a potential idea didn't have enough manpower to make itself work. I've already been at the drawing board for Series Seven since Series Five ended, so I promise the next one will be something to remember, but for now I will do my best to make Series Six also one to remember, but hopefully not for the wrong reasons... 15/06/07 - I'd just like to start off by saying that yet again, I still do not turn back on anything I say about the UK. Why? Because I got punched in the face by one of a group of four feral teenagers this past week. This country has put it's main focus on education and welfare the past decade, yet shite like this continues to spawn all over the country. And now they're trying to make their Olympic logo appeal to the generation that they've so heavily failed. I hope the Olympics lets Britain's true colours shine to the rest of the world, that colour being turd brown... My visa for India expired on Monday, which will mean another £30 for next time I want to go out there, but I think I'll try and be a little more prepared next time I go to the embassy... Made a load of calls to Malaysia the other week, and talked to Wendy from abroad for the first time. It's so nice when everyone keeps asking when I'm returning, the only bad thing is I don't know. They really want me back at the Sunday School, and I really want to be back as their teacher (Palmers Green is too hard for me). I've been home alone this past week, as my parents have been in Tuscany (and will return tomorrow). Though I only see my parents for five minutes every weekday night, I seem to miss that five minutes I spend with them. I saw Scott (the only person from school I'm still in contact with) on Sunday, and gave him my leftover RM30 from my last trip in Asia, as he's going to Singapore and Australia, and will be spending some time in Johor, South Malaysia. I told him I was jealous, even if I do spend atleast three months abroad every year. And to finish the review of my past two weeks, I also ended up having an SMS chat at work. Someone accidentally SMSed the SIM card I use to test phones at work, but got the wrong number. And two things to look forward to on Sunday, I'll be going to Palmers Green again, and the torment of Forum 24 will finally be over! 22/06/07 - First off, thank goodness Forum 24 is over. I can't be bothered to go on about it, it was a boring, unexciting, waste of time with not one decent conversation... But with that nonsense out of the way, that leaves me free to do better things, like work twelve hour shifts and to take Tamil lessons again. Well, I don't think I'll be rushing to do another twelve hour shift, I'd rather get my overtime bonus rate through working on the weekends, which is much easier... The Palmers Green kids have really taken to me now, just like the Taman Wahyu ones. I went up there on Father's Day, where they had the kids and youths reading passages, then all the Sunday School sang a song, which was a really nice start to the service. Then I played with most the youngsters after the service, but like the Taman Wahyu kids, I think they now see me as a fun, giant playmate rather than a serious teacher, which should now make teaching a heap harder for me... I finally got my 21st birthday presents this week, over a month later. Well, I almost did. I bought the webcam, which was from my brother, then I had to buy a nice watch (a traditional thing for 21st's in our family), where my father told me to get a £25 digital one, which my mother wasn't impressed with, so we're going to sort that out tomorrow. But my father certainly made up for it by winning over £300 at Ascot. Not a bad week... 29/06/07 - We're almost halfway through the year! I finally got my official 21st birthday watch this week, from Canterbury, for £75. I'm quite pleased with it, though it's nowhere near the value of the watches the rest of the family had for their 21st, even if it was reduced from £200... And I also met my new second cousin, Oliver, on Saturday, who looks strangely like my brother. That's all for this week, going to Palmers Green again on Sunday...
