04/05/07 - I think most of you know what happened in Kent this past week. There's devastation across Folkestone and Dover; rubble, cracked roads, damaged homes, abandoned and wrecked cars, feral children wondering the streets... Just another day in that area then, did you hear they had an earthquake too? I was at work during the quake, but despite people in Ashford feeling the tremor, the factory seemed to withstand any kind of shaking. Would have been nice to feel an earthquake, I guess I should spend some time in Indonesia next time I'm in Asia.

Despite the earthquake, I made a good deal of progression that day. I contacted Pastor Elisha in India, and got Elizabeth to give him some information in getting a visa, which he was very pleased to receive. And I also got a Student Rail Card, so my trips to Palmers Green will be cheaper, and I'll be going to Palmers Green this Sunday, after a three week abscence. I also heard from Victoria in Malaysia that the Taman Wahyu church will be having their first service in their new church in Petaling Jaya this Sunday. May God bless all Tamils (and Tamils in training) this Sunday...

I went with the older kids for Sunday School at Palmers Green last week. There were only four boys in the class, but the class was quite good. I still need to spend some more time watching the classes before I try and lead anything though. Travelling round London is still chaotic as ever, but then what can I expect travelling on a Sunday? But not all was bad as I got to do my first formal photo shoot round Trafalgar Square, and I'll be doing my first photo shoot and first visit round Brussels tomorrow, which should be fun. More will be added to the Photography Section soon...

11/05/07 - Only three days till I'm 21! My main birthday present is to be a trip to Belgium next Saturday, which will be a lot of fun. Belgium will be my 17th country visited, but hopefully won't be the only new country that I visit this year (there'll be extra travelling plans for when I go to Asia later this year). Went to Palmers Green again this past week, and had a lot of fun. I've got to know some of the kids a lot better now, and have organised with the church for me to be trained to teach at their Sunday School. And further to Tamil church news, Wendy e-mailed me a link to photos of Taman Wahyu's new church in Petaling Jaya (link)!

I could have had another bad journey home from Palmers Green on Sunday if I was still a big Chelsea fan, as I had to travel home amongst the victorious Arsenal fans, but I did end up ill the next day (which was fortunately a bank holiday). Mother thinks I'm working too hard, and I guess I am, working six days a week and going to London. But I love Palmers Green so much, I'll be going up there again this Sunday, which will be a nice way to end being 20. Just hope I don't end up ill on the Monday again (it's my birthday and I have to work!).

18/05/07 - Happy Birthday to me! And Happy Birthday to everyone else who's had one the past couple of weeks (I know quite a few people who have). We celebrated four birthdays at Palmers Green Sunday School (including mine), a couple of people at work had a birthday on the same day this past week, May has a busy birthday season at Taman Wahyu (Happy Birthday today, Reuben), Rajkumar's wife shares her birthday with me, along with a girl called Diviya (a friend of Mathi's kids), and also Lawrence Wilson's from the Ashford church falls on May 14th...

I called Pastor Elisha, Jyothi and Rebecca on my birthday. Ebbie had been quite excited it was my birthday, and was expecting me to call. Jyothi really misses me, and seems set on visiting me in England next year (Ranjita was doing tuition, so I didn't get to speak to her). I still need to sort out Elisha's reference letter for his visa to the UK, which will hopefully be done soon...

25/05/07 - May is coming to an end, three months in the UK almost over. I visited my seventeenth country on Saturday, going to Brussels with the family for my 21st. We went for a traditionally long walk (as we didn't really know where we were going), then stopped off at a seafood restaurant in the city centre (and not being a fan of seafood, I had steak). So now the Belgium flag can be added to my other sixteen.

The summer heat has finally hit the UK, straight after some cold spells we've had the past few weeks. There isn't really a warm period in the UK, it just goes from a hot day to a cold day whenever it feels like it (but then Malaysia can go from sunny to monsoon in a matter of moments). And from Tuesday I'll be officially employed with a company, after being employed by agencies the past several months. Though it's quite convienient for them to hire me on Tuesday, so they don't have to pay me for the Bank Holiday Monday, so I'll have to work full hours on Saturday... Marvelous...
